MHCP Services
The mission of the Medical and Health Careers Program (MHCP) is to create a community of pre-medical and pre-health scholars and to enhance the academic and extracurricular preparation of students aspiring to enter medical school or other health profession programs. We are dedicated to encouraging and supporting all UCR students.
- The program is open to ALL UCR students from any major interested in becoming involved with a community of peers pursuing similar medical and health careers.
- The MHCP is not a major or certificate granting academic program. There is no fee or application required--simply register to begin benefiting from the resources and information available to you.
- Attendance is only required at one MHCP New Student Presentation - all other resources and activities are OPTIONAL and available throughout the year for your benefit.

NOTE: You must first register for the program and attend a New MHCP Student Presentation before meeting with a staff member.
Our dedicated, professional staff has a diverse set of experiences and access to various networks to help you prepare most appropriately for a heath career. Advising appointments are assigned according to staff availability and advisor area of focus although all staff are available for consultation.
